Christmas and Hits Through the Years
Join Kenny Rogers for a special evening of hits and holiday classics, following the release of his new album, You Can’t Make Old Friends, in October 2013. The album includes a new duet — the title cut — with Kenny’s longtime friend and collaborator Dolly Parton. The album debuts almost 30 years to the day of when Kenny and Dolly released their classic hit “Islands In The Stream.”
Rogers enjoys enormous success on both the country and pop charts, earning two Grammy Awards. He continues to delight audiences with favorites like “Lucille,” “Lady” and “Love Lifted Me.” Probably Rogers’ most popular album, “The Gambler” with its title track became another huge country and pop phenomenon that led to Rogers’ second Grammy Award. He is known for other popular songs such as “She Believes in Me,” “Coward of the County” and “You Decorated My Life.” Rogers’ duets were also smash hits, such as the duet with Ronnie Milsap, “Make No Mistake, She’s Mine,” which won the 1988 Grammy Award for Best Duo Country Vocal Performance.
Kenny Rogers was a 2013 inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and also received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 CMA awards.
